Sealey Challenge #8

I remember buying this book at Thomas’ launch party. The funny part is that I learned about the open mic where it was happening and unknowingly (or forgetfully) stumbled into said book release. This has always been one of my favorites from Thomas. I especially love the correlations drawn between Willowbrook State School and the current institution in its place: College of Staten Island. It’s a mixed bag of emotion and struggle and I thoroughly recommend it as a poet and recovering addict.
