“Geometria de la Urbe” by Rocío Uchofen

Sealey Challenge #9

I first met Peruvian poet Rocío Uchofen back in 2019. The way she spoke, you could tell she was a poet. “Geometria de la Urbe” is just as enjoyable in Spanish as it is in English. When I listened to her read, I felt her words even though I’m not completely fluent in Spanish. She was the one who inspired me to attempt writing in a foreign language and translate my poems. Her words are beautiful on the page, but she’ll blow you away on stage. I thoroughly enjoy the words of Rocío and you should too.
